The Arts Council of Midland works to enrich the community by supporting and promoting the arts throughout the Permian Basin. Through exhibitions, public art initiatives, educational outreach, and cultural programming, the organization helps foster creativity and provide opportunities for artists and audiences of all ages to engage with the arts.

Basin PBS
Midland, TX
Basin PBS is the region’s public television station serving West Texas and southeastern New Mexico with educational, cultural, and community-focused programming. In addition to providing PBS content, the station supports lifelong learning through local productions, children’s educational resources, and public outreach initiatives that connect and inform communities across the Permian Basin.

Daughters of the American Revolution
Midland, TX
The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a women’s service organization dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism, with chapters across Texas and the nation. In West Texas, the organization is represented by several active chapters, including the Lieutenant William Brewer Chapter, NSDAR and the Colonel Theunis Dey Chapter, NSDAR in Midland. These chapters support local history initiatives, educational programs, veterans’ recognition, and community service projects while honoring descendants of those who aided the American Revolution.

High Sky Wing - CAF

The High Sky Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is dedicated to preserving and sharing America’s aviation and military history through historic aircraft, educational programming, and community events. Based in Midland, the organization maintains and flies vintage warbirds while honoring the legacy of the pilots, crews, and service members who shaped aviation history.

Midland Army Air Field Museum

The Midland Army Air Field Museum preserves the history of the former Midland Army Air Field and its important role in training bombardiers during World War II. Located at the Midland International Air & Space Port, the museum features historic aircraft, military exhibits, and educational programs that celebrate the region’s aviation heritage and wartime contributions.
