Courts of Liberty: Tennis, Pickleball & Play
Lace up. The day opens with the America 250 Pickleball Tournament from 8 to 11 AM, or join us for free open pickleball from noon to 5 PM - no court fees, all skill levels welcome. Bring your racket and your competitive cousin.

Arts & Culture Day | Morning Market Kickoff
We're opening America 250 in Midland the way we want the whole day to feel; together, downtown, with coffee in hand and music in the air. Saturday, June 20, the Midland Downtown Farmers Market becomes our citywide starting line. Prairie Trails & Tales of the Ice Age
Sibley is usually closed on Saturdays. But not this time. The museum scientist will lead tours of the new exhibit "Surviving the Ice Age of Texas", the trails will be open, and the prairie will look exactly the way it has for centuries, which is the whole point.

America 250: Bigger in Texas
A full day of art, history, and science under one roof. See GIANT by Ken Womack - 23 monumental sculptures filling the gallery - explore the Texas Backyard exhibit in the Children's Museum, and catch Blakemore Planetarium dome shows at 12PM, 2PM, and 4 PM. History fans: the Turner Mansion guided tour at 2 PM is $20 and worth every dollar. Free admission 4PM - 5PM - bring the whole family for the final hour.

West Texas Stories: Art, Energy & Imagination
The Downtown Library is a public art gallery hiding in plain sight. Walk through Calina Mishay's Imagination Mural, Rae Ripple's "Into the Sun" metal sculpture, and Peter Himmelberg and Tom Ryan's "In The New World." Inside, reading and literacy activities invite families to celebrate America 250 through books, story prompts, and take-home reading lists. Don't miss the Petroleum Collection - the people, industry, and innovation that built the Permian Basin.

Red, White & Blue Paint-Out
TWO SEPARATE CREATIVE OPPORTUNITIES, ONE OPEN STUDIO, NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, AGES 1-101 IN A FAMILY-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT!! Art Exihibit, Sculpture Garden & Children's Scavenger Hunt
Step inside the Arts Council of Midland and into our permanent art collection, and enjoy a gallery tour of Scarborough-Linebery House every hour. These works trace artistic expression and cultural heritage from Texas, the United States, and international artists are on display. Outside, the FMH Foundation Sculpture Garden turns into a children's scavenger hunt - public art, fresh air, and a stamp in the passport. A natural first stop if you're starting from downtown.

The sound of today's America - bold, diverse, independent, alive.

Cinema Under the Stars: Hamilton
Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical recounting of the American Revolution and early U.S. government. View this musical masterpiece on the big screen under the indoor star field of the Wagner Noël PAC. Doors open at noon with food trucks on site, kids' activities in the lobby, free popcorn, and behind-the-scenes tours of the venue. UTPB Arts students will be popping up throughout the lobby.
