Sibley is usually closed on Saturdays. But not this time. The museum scientist will lead tours of the new exhibit "Surviving the Ice Age of Texas", the trails will be open, and the prairie will look exactly the way it has for centuries, which is the whole point.

Inside, reading and literacy activities invite families to celebrate America 250 through books, story prompts, and take-home reading lists. These works trace artistic expression and cultural heritage from Texas, the United States, and international artists are on display. Outside, the FMH Foundation Sculpture Garden turns into a children's scavenger hunt - public art, fresh air, and a stamp in the passport. A natural first stop if you're starting from downtown.

Living in America - Art Market Presented by Cultura West and Midland Community Theatre A curated art market built around one prompt: what does it look like to live in America right now? Local artists fill the MCT lobby with the answer. Browse, buy, and meet the makers. Live music in the lobby, concessions will be open.

Midland's independent record store turns into a full-day cultural stop. Shop vinyl from noon then settle in for a high-energy night of punk, rock, and R&B with Ghostlux, Louie and the Liars, Horizon City, Ishkur, and IBNH starting at 6:30 PM. The sound of today's America - bold, diverse, independent, alive.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical recounting of the American Revolution and early U.S. government. View this musical masterpiece on the big screen under the indoor star field of the Wagner Noël PAC. Doors open at noon with food trucks on site, kids' activities in the lobby, free popcorn, and behind-the-scenes tours of the venue. UTPB Arts students will be popping up throughout the lobby.
